2023 Shanghai Summer School - Shanghai Summer School-Aisa and African program

2023年上海暑期学校Shanghai Summer School（3S）项目如期举行。本年度的非洲项目于7月3日至7月28日在线上进行，共招收来自博茨瓦纳、刚果布、肯尼亚、突尼斯、马达加斯加、南非、布基纳法索等国家17名学员。亚洲项目7月30日至8月6日在线下举行，来自日本、马来西亚、越南、柬埔寨、文莱、以色列等6个国家的17名学员来到师大校园参加了本次暑期学校项目。作为我校疫情以后第一个线下暑期学校，除了和线上项目一样，参加汉语听说读写的课程之外，线下参与的学员们不但能有机会能亲眼见到上海崭新的城市面貌，还能亲自体验中国文化，比如尝试皮影制作，练习书法和太极拳，还亲手包了小笼包等，在一系列文化实践活动中加深了对中国文化的理解。实地参访中，学员们亲临了作为上海象征的外滩和豫园，探访了南翔古镇和广富林遗址，打卡了武康大楼和衡复风貌区，见证了临港新城的蓬勃发展，全方位领略了上海的过去、现在和未来。该项目对发展学校学历国际学生具有桥架作用，对于丰富多元校园文化以及提升学校国际化办学能力具有深远意义。同时，该项目的成功进行进一步作用于上海的教育国际化，起到推广上海城市名片，搭建亚洲与非洲各国与上海的教育、人文交流平台的作用，以期吸引优秀和高层次的人才体验中国，留学上海。

2	石田結麻	This was my first visit to China. During the program, I was glad that I was able to visit tourist attractions that I had only seen in pictures. In addition, I was able to experience student life locally, which was a very valuable experience. Studying abroad this time will be an unforgettable experience. I will do my best to study Chinese even after I return to Japan. Thank you to all the Chinese teachers and the university.

4	艾乐妮	"Hi Chen laoshi, Luo laoshi and Wang laoshi, I am glad to be here for almost a month for this Shanghai Normal University Summer Camp 2023. Firstly, I would like to thank all laoshi because you guys have been a great teacher and really passionate while teaching us Chinese. To be honest, my Chinese is still not very good but I can see the improvement in myself about Chinese language. Your teaching method really makes me more understand about Chinese language especially how the character can be exist (based on history and ancient Chinese). Thank you so much, I really really really appreciate Chen laoshi, Luo laoshi and Wang laoshi and I would like to apologise if I did mistakes during our class. Next, I would like to thank Penny, Amy and Coco because you guys were very patient in handling us during this one month camp. Thank you for bringing us to many places in order to ease our life during in Shanghai. I really appreciate it. And also, to Carrol and Ketty, I hope they can see this message also. I want to thank them because I feel enjoy during the visits with them. Thank you for guiding us in many interesting places in Shanghai. 9	安琪拉	"Best decision I’ve ever made?? Going to Shanghai was surreal, going back home from Shanghai was equally surreal. Time truly passed by so fast. Each and every moment that I felt, and that I experienced, I wish the time could stop because there was nothing more that I could ask for. The love that I was poured with, the blessings and every opportunities. From not knowing each other, to studying together till late night, being there for each other, running to each others rooms, doing makeovers together, sharing lipsticks, bullying masa, having late night ramen, midnight walks and to random rants.. Because of these people, I was able to find myself, to understand the true meaning of being free and to be happy even if things aren’t ok. Despite the differences in language, culture and lifestyle, we tried to communicate and understand each other. I didn’t regret anything because they made me took every chances that I could. I wouldn’t ask for more, because they’re far more than what I could ever ask for. Thank u allah, this experience was beautiful, thank you?? To these people whom I wouldn’t even hesitate to call family; Chen Laoshi, Luo Laoshi, Wang Laoshi, Carol, Nurin, Aleany, Shasha, Jamilin, Nguyen, Bao Chao, Lotem, Mulan, Channy, Masa (the only male whom we always bully), Hinano, Yuki, Yui, Yuma and Mika. I truly cherish you, I love you and I will forever keep u in my memories and heart?♀? Thank you for teaching me to let out all of my griefs and not holding onto them. To support me to do things without having to care what people thinks. To more karaokes in the future, random dances, crazy moments and laughters together (Aamiinn). This may seem like an ending for us, but it’s a new beginning to unexpected adventures and I pray the best and happiness for all of us. I think the hardest part of this program was leaving. Leaving the right people to start a new beginning. I don’t know when we’ll meet again, but I trust that one day we will… one day…"
10	欧梦珍	I have really enjoyed the opportunity to learn about china and it’s rich and diverse culture. Although I joined the program late , it was worth it.One thing I liked about the course is being taken virtually to sight- see the different major places in china as I would love to travel one day to china！ The lecturers were interactive and engaging.it made the learning experience so impactful. To my classmates it’s been a wonderful journey being with you and hope one day I be as fluent as most of youin Chinese language.
